Healthy Perspective

One great choice you can make for your health is keeping a Healthy Perspective. Recently my oldest daughter was upset about a problem at school. I had her close one eye, take her thumb and bring it in very close in front of her eye (almost touching). I asked her what she could see, her response was "My Thumb". Then I asked her to hold her arm nice and straight in front of her with her thumb up. Looking at her thumb with both eyes open. What I demonstrated for her was something I have to remember everyday, Healthy Perspective. If we pull our problems too close we can't see anything but the problem. By putting the problem out with everything else we need to see it doesn't seem so big, so overwhelming. When we put our problems, no matter how big or small, in a healthy perspective we are able to see all the good. The good is what we need to be looking at when facing a problem; things we are good at, things we do the best, blessing we have received by God, and where the solution may lie.

With some problems there is no solution. There are problems that we sometimes have that we just have to face but keeping them in a Healthy Perspective, will make all the difference. So, next time you are faced with a problem, make sure you keep both eyes open and your problem held out so that you are able to still see all the Good. Healthy Perspective
